Life's going okay. I decided I'd probably write most of my entries here and put all that other crap in phoenix__love. Mmkay?
Anyway. Tonight a bunch of organ donors/recipients talked about stuff. It was sad and a little disconcerting. Life Studies was fun. Mrs. Schelereth let us get the Bears players autographs who where there and then we just got to hang out in lunch for the rest of the period. I sat with Shaina, Lauren, and Rooney. Good stuff...

Holy crap.
Today was the best day of my life. I went to Best Buy and bought The Outsiders and Stand By Me!!! Then I watched The Hitcher with C. Thomas Howell and Rutger Hauer. It was really bizarro ans scary, but CT was hot as always.
Oh yeah, and when I was at Best Buy I totally saw My Own Private Idaho! I was tempted to pick it up and look at it, but Muskrat was standing right there. So I didn't.

I was so tired yesterday. I fell asleep right after school and I didn't wake up until 6:00. Then I made dinner, did some hw, and watched Back to the Future (Part II)!! This morning The Outsiders was on AMC and I watched like 3 minutes of it.

- Best Known As: The narcoleptic hustler in My Own Private Idaho
Name at birth: River Jude Bottom
Twenty-three year-old River Phoenix was an up-and-coming movie star when he died suddenly of drug-induced heart failure in 1993. His brief career was marked by critically-acclaimed performances in films such as Stand By Me (1986), Running On Empty (1988) and Gus Van Sant's My Own Private Idaho (1991, with Keanu Reeves). River was the eldest of five children whose itinerant parents were members of a radical Christian group called the Children of God (later known as The Family). His family lived in communes in Oregon, Texas, Puerto Rico and Venezuela before settling in Florida. Pursuing entertainment careers for their children, the parents moved the family to Los Angeles, where River began getting television jobs in the early 1980s. Although his first feature film was 1985's Explorers (with young Ethan Hawke), it was his stand-out performance in the ensemble drama Stand By Me that gained him national recognition. Phoenix was labeled a promising young actor and his career took off. He co-starred with Harrison Ford in both The Mosquito Coast (1986) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), and earned an Oscar nomination for his performance in Running On Empty. In 1993, outside Johnny Depp's L.A. nightclub, The Viper Room, Phoenix went into cardiac arrest and died, a result of lethal levels of heroin and cocaine. His other films include Little Nikita (1988, with Sidney Poitier), Dogfight (1991) and Sneakers (1992, with Robert Redford).
Phoenix's siblings, Joaquin, Summer, Rain and Liberty, are also actors... In the early '90s Phoenix was part of a touring rock band called Aleka's Attic... A well-known vegan and animal rights advocate, Phoenix performed a song on the album Tame Yourself (1990), a benefit for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
